Fiona Xie's Replacement in Year-End Drama "Together"

The Executive Producer have seen most of your suggested artistes. They have finally decided and awarded the coveted role to Eelyn Kok! They are confident with her ability to portray the role well (I-paul chan personally feel she acts better than Fiona – hello Eelyn nominated twice at Star Awards Best Supporting Actress leh).

Met up with Eelyn just now at the make-up unit as she jumped straight into the imaging session. She has digested 5 out of 35 episodes of scripts last night just to ‘get into the role’ for the imaging session today.

She is fully aware about the challenges ahead – to make the character into one that would gain sympathy from the viewers and not become a subject of much hatred (within a short time). This 黄金好is an outstanding and memorable role that could potentially get Eelyn a nomination at the next Star Awards 2010. Possibly the most challenging role to date for eelyn, does this humble and hardworking girl get your vote and support? One thing I-paul chan am sure, Eelyn gets more more friendly acceptance amongst the cast of stars…(see photo when Elvin happily came up to congratulate Eelyn)…

The "Truth" about Fiona Xie's withdrawal from "Together" drama!

Everyone’s now talking about Fiona Xie’s last minute ‘disappearing’ stunt from the year end anniversary drama ‘当我们同在一起 Together’ – the stars (including stars from other dramas gossiping), the production crew, the public… I-paul chan don’t remember any star ever done something like that – last minute pull-out is a ‘big and serious’ matter.

You have probably read many speculated media articles and rumours as reported by xin.sg (they reported many juicy stuff on this matter). I-paul chan don’t know the ‘real’ story behind her sudden last-min withdrawal. Her ‘urgent personal matters’ would have to be ’seriously urgent’ to attempt such a daring act to throw a ‘last minute bomb’ at the production team. Which Drama Executive Producer would dare to cast this star again (if kanna ‘bitten’ once)?

Of all the speculations, I-paul chan find this particular one reported by xin.sg that ‘Fiona has resigned?’ a possibility (click: http://www.xin.sg/article.php?article=31425&st=dtl).

Which star would give up on a possible chance at the ‘Star Awards Best Actress’ nomination (heck – even a chance in winning)? Giving up on the chance to be in a high profile attention-grabbing 台庆剧? Giving up on a career-turnaround role which could lead to an increase in commercial endorsements? There’s also a huge risk that no Executive Drama Producers would ever dare to cast you again for fear of another ‘last-minute-bomb’…

Unless the star has already decided to quit, maybe. Well, it is still a speculation until Fiona speaks up eventually…
