SHOCKER OF THE YEAR: FIONA XIE

SHE'S really gone.

To a far-off place where she can wear a bikini and not be reminded of her 'boing-boing' escapade on a shopping strip.

But we'll always remember that scene from the 2004 Channel 8 drama The Champion.

To a place where she can club and smooch fellow celebrity pals on the lips and not have it photographed, disseminated and frowned upon.

But we'll still have that photo of you and Utt in March this year saved in our hard disk.

And surely we'll hold dear to our hearts how you and Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue broke a bed when the two of you filmed a love scene in Kelvin Tong's movie Rule #1 in late 2007.

Ahhh... rehashing her notorious antics is making us miss her already.

So has Fiona Xie gone to a better place? We're not certain.

What's for sure though is that she isn't looking back.

Our Babe Of The Year 2004 recipient doesn't even want her Shocker Of The Year prize. (Sob!)

The deliciously sexy and angsty 27-year-old - now based in Hong Kong and reportedly in the arms of her younger Australian-American lover - was voted by you over her sudden and unexplained 'disappearance' in July this year after she pulled out of the Channel 8 drama Together at the eleventh hour.

She won with 64 votes, beating Jamie Yeo and Glenn Ong's divorce (32 votes) and Anita Sarawak's husband's mugging (22 votes).

We were told by Fiona's manager at MediaCorp that they were unable to accept the award on her behalf because 'she does not wish to be involved in any award nomination or presentation'.

She, however, 'thanks the organiser for the award'.

And so the Shocker Of The Year gas lighter will be wrapped in paper and stashed under my table, until the day Fiona comes home.
